Mary has been practicing as an Occupational Therapist since 2007, working across the lifespan from school-aged children to older adults, with a primary focus on adult neurology. Her approach is holistic, compassionate, and evidence-based, addressing not just physical function but also cognition, vision, vestibular health, and psychosocial well-being.
Throughout Mary’s career, she has sought to deepen her understanding of functional cognition, becoming certified in the Multicontext Approach and Goal Management Training. The work she has done with adults has also led her to explore the vision and vestibular system, interoception, the neurobiology of trauma, and sleep—all of which play a crucial role in recovery and daily function.
In the area of returning to work, Mary has helped individuals not only reintegrate into their roles but also prioritize their well-being in the workplace. Using a range of techniques—including micropoint stimulation, acupuncture, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP), behavioral activation, and prolonged exposure therapy Mary supports individuals in managing stress, pain, and cognitive demands while fostering resilience. Mary also specializes in office ergonomics and home assessments, ensuring clients have the right support in both work and home environments.
